SYED NIAZ HUSSAIN ABIDI

(Grandfather of Raza Ali Shah Al-Abidi)

Syed Niaz Hussain Abidi, father of Shah Ji, and grandfather of Shah Saab, was born and raised in India. He was a highly qualified engineer, belonging to the Syed lineage, and possessed extensive mystical knowledge. This included a deep understanding of the numerical value of the Arabic alphabet (Ilm-ul-Adaad) as well as understanding of numerical mapping (Ilm-ul-Naqoosh). It has been narrated that he was a reader of the Shah Jinn’s (King of Jinns) wazifa; through which he received profound guidance which was then passed down through the generations.

Syed Niaz Hussain Abidi was an influential Muslim community actively involved in serving the poor, organizing events to commemorate the birth of the Prophet ﷺ (milad) and gathering assemblies for the remembrance of Allah (majalis).  He was also respected by Hindu learning societies during the British empire.

Additionally, he was known as a teacher or master (ustaad) in the community who practiced herbal medicine earning a reputation as a doctor (hakim). Later due to his eccentric behavior, likely caused by his own visions, he was known as “Bawle Hakim.” He was particularly famous for his asthma supplement, believed to cure asthma for life with a single tablet.
